This morning the Lambda Literary Awards released this year's finalists for their first ever Graphic Novel category and Duck: Second Chances is one of them!

*insert thunderous applause*

Because of the overwhelming demand I am planning on releasing an updated run of Duck 2 (as I affectionately call it) as soon as I get home from my currently-in-progress Sean Murphy Apprenticeship Program.

This news is positively delightful!

I am honored to have my work considered and am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and love from the community. Thanks you guys!

So, listen.

I am going to reprint Duck 2 and make it available as an E-book.

I am also going to make the reprint larger (at the trim size I had originally intended) and release it in full and glorious color!

More details on all that later.

Right now I want to say THANK YOU!

And I love you!

And I have to get back to work on Cafe Racer, the amazing book I am making with none other than the incredibly talented Sean Murphy, which will be available in time for this years Boston Con in August.

For now, put your queries love letters and support down below in the comments section!

Onward to make more comics!

  • Mood: Joy
  • Listening to: iTunes on Shuffle y'all!
  • Reading: lease contracts
  • Drinking: Coffee, of course.

I won a PRISM Grant in 2010 for my debut novel: "Duck!" about a couple of lesbian friends that take a road trip to save their little brother from jail.
It's a little bit "On The Road" meets "The L Word" and you can order it on my site (please do!)

I also have an autobio comic about "That Time I Turned 30 in Greece" (best title ever?) and freshly out: "26.2" -a spectators take on the Boston Marathon. Experience this historic race first hand with delicate brush strokes and more historical information than you can shake a stick at.
